Legal Question in DUI Law in Michigan

dui charge from 25 years ago
i needed to renew my michigan drivers license and was told since all states have linked their computers together that i had a dui charge from 25 years ago in illinois and after finding out more information from illinois i had to complete a three day alcohol assessment program to clear this up , i don't think i can take them three days off work and have never had a charge for dui since then, what can i do besides the assessment to clear this up if anything? thank you.
