Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Can Alimony be modified after judgement of divorce? My friend and his ex had the same attorney and he agree to pay alimony to her. She has was never a stay at home mom she has a career that pays well. she teach a couple of classes at MSU and has her own couseling practice. My understanding is alimony is used when a mom was stay at home and had no degree and no job to support herself. Right now he pays the same amount is child support as he does for alimony.

Is there any case law out thier to modify or change this for him.

thank you for your time.

So you friend was foolish enough to use the same attorney as his former wife to get divorced, right? Any your friend now doesn't understand his rights concerning alimony, right? And now he'd like to get legal advice on the internet to try to understand what she should have understood when he got divorced and didn't hire an attorney, right?
