Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

back support

If a an ex spouse owes back support and one of the children go to live with that parent.does he get out of paying back support.I still have custody of both children.she only went to live with him because, she was having trouble in her current school.this is just on a trial basis.do I have togive him money back or chang the order he is 4,ooo behind.Can he take me to court and takecustody of her away from even though hes been pretty much useless the last seven years of her life?thank you--name removed---name removed--

No,....support incurred is still owed. In fact, he is still under court order to pay support. If there has been a change of custody, he would have to petition the court to change the court order. For more info, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.
