Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Income Tax

I am in the process of divorce. I am returning to college in January 2005, I have applied for financial aide.I recieved a verification form yesterday. My husband and I have not filed income tax for 2003. He wants to claim the kids and head of household, but we(the 2 kids and myself) have not lived with him for 3 years. If I agree to let him claim the, will that affect me in a negitive manner in court, financial aide or other ways? I only made $6000. from one part time job and $4000 from our joint business. and $14000. in child support/alimony.This issue was brought up in Friend of the court but was not addressed. What should I be aware of??
