bank account share

if you have a bank account and you add a family member to it and they take out money without your knowledge can you prosecute?

Generally, if you add another party to a deposit account as a joint owner, they have the same rights that you have with regard to the account, including the right to withdraw and even close the account. Your particular account agreement may offer certain limitations or options to provide for limited access to another party that would not be the equivalent of joint ownership - you should certainly review that agreement, and seek proper legal advice if you do not understand it, before making any changes regarding access to your account.
