Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Deceased son's x wife will not allow us to see his children

My husband passed away a year ago, and in that time, his x wife has refused his children any contact with their fathers parents and rest of the family. Has told us all to never contact them again. Can she do this legally?

I know that legislation has been going through to rectify this area of the law. Call Attorney Richard Victor for the update. He is in Bloomfield Hills, I believe. Bill Stern 248-353-9400

The simple answer is, yes she can. There is a movement to enact a law to protect grandparents rights. As it stands now, grandparents do not have a right to see their grandchildren if the parents refuse to allow visitation. For more info, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.
