Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I have sole physical custody of my child and I requested for

Change of domicile through friend of the court 6 years ago. I was granted request and relocated to another state at the time. I moved back to michigan temporarily, a couple years ago but did not put a change of domicile. However I updated my mailing

Address with the courts. I am planning to go back to the state that I established domicile in. Can the non custodial parent and/or courts prevent me from moving back to the state where I still maintain legal domicile? Did updating my

Address, change my domicile back to michigan?

Your best bet is to meet with a local family law attorney to discuss. Change of Domiciles are complicated and very fact specific. For example, did the parenting time change when you moved back to Michigan?

My immediate reaction is yes. You will need the court's permission to move again.
