Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

I moved out of my residence in July of this year, and I left my roommate my dining room table to use until he moved out. He will validate that it is mine. When he moved out, he didn't have any room to store it and let his sister take the table to her apartment. She also lived with us, and is the reason that I moved out. I am pretty sure that she will not give it back to me willingly, and would like to know if there is any legal recourse that i can take if she will not give me my property back.

Yes, you can sue her for the value of the table in small claims court. You will tell your story, she will tell her story (no doubt that you "abandoned'' the table) and the judge will decide whose story makes the most sense.
