Legal Question in International Law in Michigan

Bringing lawsuit against Canadian factory.

I'm a legal American resident and if i want to sue a factory that is owned by the Ontario provincial government, where should i have to file for the lawsuit, US or Canada...also what happens if the company is privately owned?
