If a company is relocating and offers the employees positions at the new location, if any employee cannot take make the move do they have to offer a severance?

Employers generally have no obligation to provide severance pay unless a written employment contract with the employer exists which states otherwise. These contracts are rare, and reserved mostly for executives.
