Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Seller lied on disclosure statement

My son purchased a home where seller lied on disclosure. Major repairs needed, work was not done by licensed contractor, possible unsafe conditions exist. Does he have a claim against the seller, his realtor, the listing agent? His realtor did not find out pertinent information; the listing agent did not question the seller sufficiently on the disclosure statement items.

Re: Seller lied on disclosure statement

there is no cause of action against the realtors. There is a cause of action against the inspector, limited to the cost of the apprasial. The main case is against the homeowner, if they are collectible. Contact me at www.kliszlaw.com to discuss further. Tim Klisz
