Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My father passed away almost 2 years ago, and everything in his legal will was left to my mother, except our home. She has recently went to an attorney and had a new will drawn/written up, with no mention of our house that was left to me. Can she do this? Is this legal?

If the home was owned jointly between them, it became hers at his death. If he owned it, willed it to you, then it is yours after you go through the probate process. It could be more complex, so you should call me at (313)402-0853 or visit kliszlaw.com to discuss all the facts. Thanks, Tim Klisz
