You need to contact the personal representative. If none, you need the document showing you are the beneficiary and your uncles death certificate. Contact me at johntatone.com or 888-988-laws ( 5297)

To add another angle, if you can't get in touch with the personal representative (or attorney if he or she is represented by one), you can pull the file from the probate court (or have an attorney do it for you). You should be able to tell what is in the estate (look at the Inventory) and what the status is (other documents will be filed along the way, including a Sworn Statement to Close if the estate has been closed), or possibly other court notices. The key is to find out the current status of the estate, what happened, and what you can do to to get your distribution and get it closed. Feel free to call me at toll free (888) 487-6150 or through my website at www.MichiganEstatePlans.com
