if son is granted conservatorship,over

sick father where do i stand as a

girlfriend as a joint account holder?

(keep in mind i have never had a job

and im 50 years old) will he be in

control of fathers assets? what if his

father dies before court hearing in 26

days, would that free me from all

court proceedings ?

The son as conservator has control over the father's assets. As a joint account holder, you have shared control with the son over the joint account. As a girlfriend, unless you are written in his will, you typically would have no claim to any other assets. As to court proceedings, if you are subpoenaed to appear in court, you must be there. Otherwise, your attendance is likely not required.
