Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I have a will and a revocable trust to which I want to add a cardicil adding distribution instructions. Can I do this myself and a notary public?

A codicil is a change to a will. An amendment is a change to a trust. Most people who have trusts, have a pour over will where the trust inherits the assets of the will/estate and then distributes the assets according to written direction. If you are referring to the trust, it may be changed by amendment and you may use a notary. However, if you would like my assitance to ensure that your wishes are clear and must legally be followed, please contact me at 888-988-LAWS (5297) or [email protected]
