Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

injured at work

I am on permanent work restrictions, so I am unable to do the job that I was doing(prior to my injury). Now the employer says my restrictions don't apply; but they do. So what do I do now?

Re: injured at work

Get your doctor to write the restrictions and put the dates that the restrictions apply to. Deliver that to the employer. If the employer refuses to accept that and the doctor is credible, then your choice is to leave the job and file a workers' compensation petition with a competent lawyer or continue working on the job in pain. These are difficult decisions when the employer holds all the economic power. William S. Stern
