Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Change Custody

I have shared physical and legal custody of my son. What I want to know is if I stand a chance of getting full custody of him and what I would have to do in order to get custody.

Re: Change Custody

Custody is very difficult to change under Minnesota law. To do so, you must demonstrate that:

(1) the child is endangered physically, emotionally 9or developmentally based on the current custodial arrangement; AND

(2) that the benefit of the change will outweigh any harm caused by the change.

This is a very high standard.
