relationships

im in a 13 yr relationship, split half the bills. i have financials bought more in house and repairs and improvements. in other home bought new windows door and addeda addition with no reembursement . if we were to split who has rights i do 95 percent physical labor at house

The answer to your question is not a simple one. If the parties failed to execute a cohabitation agreement, the respective rights to the house would be unclear. It is presumptively the home of the person in whose name the title appears.

If there is some agreement as to how to share the equity, you would have to prove that agreement in court as part of a partition action wherein the court values each party's respective contribution to the acquistition and preservation of the real estate based on the evidence presented related to (1) their agreement; (2) their contribution to the asset.
