Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Minnesota

Boat Rental Damage

I rented a pontoon at a resort in Minnesota. When I rented it for the week I sign a sheet saying that I would be responsible for all damage and down rental time. Well the worst happened and I hit a submerged rock. The estimate comes out to $7,600. Do I have any rights. The resort owner is not asking for down rental time just to fix the boat. My home owners might cover it but not sure yet.

Re: Boat Rental Damage

You should explore all insurance options first. If they do not cover it, you may want to hire an attorney.
