Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota

Am I entitled to unemployment insurance benefits if I was validly laid off; start collecting benefits and then start a company..working full time at it but not yet receiving any income? When would I become "not entitled" to benefits?

If you are working for new employer ( who will eventually be paying you for that work) you are no longer eligible and not seeking work. You should confirm this with UE claim office.Collecting UE benes while employed will be considered FRAUD and subject you to civil and potentially criminal penalties.
