Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Changing Child Support Action

I have a court order for child support. In my order it doesn't specify that the non-custodial parent employer take child support from the check, so how would I have that changed or what paper work would I need to filed in order for the employer to take the child support, and have other areas of medical responsibilties changed from non-custodial parent check weekly as stated in divorce decree?

Re: Changing Child Support Action

You need to get a Withholding Order. In some counties, the clerk will do this automatically in conjunction with an order to pay. In other places, you must seek it separately from the judge. Your attorney should know what to do to get a Withholding Order on your case.
