divorce uncontested

my husband and I have agreed that he would keep the house. the problem is his credit isn't good enough to re-finance at this time. Other than selling the house what are our options. Also, what is the average cost of a uncontested divorce, property settlement. We have no children.

Nobody has published a study on the cost, but my sense is around $350. However, your house issue will increase the cost a little. Regarding the financing, your husband might get someone else to guarantee his remortgage. You can also agree in exchange for reasonable consideration to stay on the mortgage to give him a reasonable time to get his credit rating up sufficiently for re-financing the house.
