How old does a child have to be before they can decide which parent they want to live with in the state of Mississippi.

At twelve years old, a child may express a preference, but they do not get to make that decision. This is just one of the factors the Chancellor must consider. I would also caution that many children, in an effort to please everyone, will tell both parents they want to live with them, particularly younger children.
