Legal Question in Business Law in Missouri
Non Compete Agreement
I began working for a company 3 years ago. Last year I was asked to sign a non compete because a loan company for the business thought it necessary. The attorney that I had review it said it was broad and should be ok to sign. The owners are in the middle of a nasty divorce. I was fired by the wife and reinstated by the company mediator(hired because of the divorce). If the wife gets the company in the settlement (which is likely) my employment will be terminated again. my question is, what happens to the non compete? is it enforceable?
Thank You
