Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I have an ex with whome we both aquired debt on multiple credit cards in my name. While we were still together my ex transfered all of the debt that was previously in my name to a no interest credit card in her's. Since we have sepperated I have paid her well over my half that I owed but she still demands money. There are no reciepts for the cash I have given her. There is actually no form of agreement besides a verbal agreement, and I agreed to pay my half of the debt. Since the remaining debt is in her name can she hold me liable for the remaining balance because the debt that was tranferred was originally in my name?
