This is a common law school hypothetical problem. You should sucure lega counsel to represnt you. In the mean time, do nto tell any lies to the Police. It is better to say nothing. If you decide to cooperate, you should tell the truth as you have assumeably doen here. "My friend asked to use my truck to move his stuff. I was helping him, when he ran away and you arrested me. I had no idea it was not his stuff." If this person put you in this postion (especially if they know you got arrested) they are nto a good friend. You have no duty to take the rap for them. But, if there were objective things that might have clued a reasoanble person to question whther the stuff belonged to the other person, you could still be criminally liable. If you tell the Police, that you do nto think you did anytthing wrong, but choose nor to talk to them until you dicuss it with an attorney, they should back off for a while. then talk with an atotney aobut the specific facts of your case. They can give you specific advice. Not the vague general advice you get here, based upon a short description of the facts.

Good luck
