Court is tomorrow? Of course that has already come and gone by now, but why did you post a question on Lawguru one day before a court date? If I were in your place, trying to help out my son, I don't htink that I would be desparately seeking help on a site like this the night before court. $1200 is not an unreasnable fee for a first time DWI, and I normally charge more than that. However, if you do not already have an attorney for you son, I might be able to quote you a retainer fee in the amount of $1000 depending upon where the charges against him are pending.
