can i get a continuance for case management hearing without an attorney?

If a party is acting pro se (without an attorney) they have the same right to ask for a continuance as would any attorney in the case. If that party making the request has counsel of record, the court may not entertain a request coming directly from a represented litigant. The particular opinion of the judge and the facts surrounding teh stated need for a continuance, will determine whether the request will be granted.
