Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

this is a long and complicated story. my friend, codey's mom was a druggie and his dad was a dealer, so he was living with his grandma until she died when he was 13. he was then sent to live with an aunt and uncle here in KCMO because they had the most stable household in his family. they never wanted him and have been making his life a living hell for years. now, he's 17 and he's finally had enough. he asked them if he could move out and they allowed him to as long as whoever he's living with took full custody of him. he's now living with our friend, ryan, and his mom, but his aunt and uncle refuse to sign over custody and they refuse to sign emancipation papers. they've reported him as a runaway. he also had a traffic ticket he was supposed to pay but his uncle refused to give it to him so he could pay it, so now there's a warrant out for him. he has no choice but to continue as a reported runaway because his aunt and uncle won't let him come back, nor will anyone else in his family. please help.

Codey can Petition the court to emancipate him, over his aunt and uncle's objection. He can raise the issues of the unreported ticket and the refusal to let him move back in, as evidence of his need to be emainciapated. Of course, he will have to prove he can support himself

Good luck to you both
