Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Property Settlement Contract

Can a property settlement agreed to during a divorce ever be revised? Can one party generate the revision without the agreement of the other party? Can this be revised in court?

Thank you.

Re: Property Settlement Contract

I would suggest that you consult with an attorney in your area, perhaps with the attorney who represented you in the divorce, in order to get specific answers to specific questions. It may indeed be possible to enter into a new agreement concerning property matters initially inluded in the divorce, but not necessarily. I can tell you that it seems totally unlikely that one party alone could change the terms of a property settlement expecially if that settlement had been incorporated into the Divorce Decree. Good luck.
