How Long Before I am Served with Lawsuit Papers

In Missouri, how long is the service of process for a civl lawsuit. I was informed that on last friday a civil suit was going to be filed in court. How long before I am served with the lawsuit? When should I expect to see the summons?

There is no set time. Once a case is filed, the court sets a docket call date for that case and the summons is then signed and sent to whomoever is to serve teh defendant(s). Depending upon the circuit a case is filed in, and how busy they are, it usually takes 20-45 days for a defendant to be served after a suit is filed.
