school laws

my daughter moved back from colo hey rented a house put kids in school. ran out of heat so they were staying with us. school kicked the kids out.becose we dont live in there school district,we told them they had no heat.school said so what .they to live at home. what do we do

Enroll the children in the District where you live, if you plan for the children to live there for more than a week or so. Districts must enforce residency designations now. In the past, they could allow children to remain if they leave teh district.

If you do not like the district where you live, you might consider homeschooling or private school. Perhaps this is an opportunity for you to work toward fixing the wrongs you might percieve in your local schools.
