Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Missouri

Springfield MO. ok here is my situation. I have a sixteen year boy who is extremely unhappy. Basically miserable, he is dropping out of school because of his situation at home. He is made to share a room with his sisters and recently his sister stabed him with a screwdriver and his mom isnt getting her any help. He has a young girlfriend and refuses to let him see her just because she doesnt like her and threatens him if he tries to leave. She has abused him in the past and now he fears her. He is scared to leave because of what his mother might do. Her oldest son keeps drugs in the house with the new born child. She knows about it and lets it continue. Now the girlfriends mother has opened her house to him and said that he could live there. She is going to make a room for him if he is allowed she just doesnt know what to do. Basically is there anything we can do that his mom will have no control over? Or do we need a lawyer?

If you are the father, you can Motion for a change in custody. If you are not the father, the 16 year old can call children's servcies to complain about ill treatment. He should tell them if he fears retaliation from his mom for making the call.

Good luck
