I am relocating to another state because of a job and have eight months left on my lease and would like to know if I can break my lease by law and not be responsible for it after I move.

Re: Breaking lease agreement

Any competent attorney should insist upon reading the lease before providing legal advice in response to your question. Generally speaking, the terms contained in the lease itself together with Missouri statutory and case law will govern your particular situation. If you are not already represented by legal counsel you may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
