Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

squabble over home sale

my grandmother and her five children are on the title to her home. grandmother wants to sell, but one of the children refuse to sign. her lawyer wants to sell the house at the courthouse and the family to buy it back, paying the one his part of the sale. my mother is one of the children and she is concerned about signing anything for the sale. she is afraid of the cost to her( she is on a very limited income) if the family does this. what will the family be obligated to pay at the time of the sale?

Re: squabble over home sale

The amount they would have to pay at the time of the sale depends on what type of sale this is, and obviously the amount of the sale. The family would owe something since they are basically just buying out one person. Also, I am not sure what type of sale this is.

I cannot advise your mother what to do since she already has an attorney. She needs to ask him about the cost and when any money would have to be paid.
