Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

Car registration when unmarried partner dies

My partner died shortly after

registering a car in his name only.

The previous car was ''transfer on

death'' to me, but this time he was ill

and didn't think to do it. I am

making the car payments, so what

needs to happen to get the car into

my name? He had no will. He has a

living sister who doesn't want or

need the car.

Re: Car registration when unmarried partner dies

The decedent's sister could inherit the car as a legal beneficiary. She could then sell it to you cheaply. Good luck.
