Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri
my mother just died. she had a credit card only in hername , but I am an authrized user. all of the charges on the account are mine. i have been actively paying the payments each month. my sister is inthe same scenario with one of my Mother's credit cards as well. when we notify the credit card of my Mother's death, I assume theaccounts will be closed. Are we responsible to continue paying the debt in full?

Sorry to hear about your mother, you have my condolences. whether you or your sister will be liable, depends upon how you are listed on the accounts. If you ever signed anything for them, you might be liable for your use. Obviously, tit mothers estate is probably liable for the entire amount of the debts. But, credit card companies seldom open their own estate for a decedent card holder.
