Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri

Why did they submit a worker's comp claim when I don't have a Dx yet?

Please Help. I hsve an HMO. I have had constant numbness, weakness of my l. hand since 7-25-01. When I told my superior that I was going to see my primary Dr.was told to bring an ART form, she was not going to submit it but just for documentation. Primary Dr.gave referral for nerve conduction and emg (suspects cubital tunnel)

W.C.carrier called and had me record a statement for my ''claim'' and now states I can't see any doctor that they don't send me too. Now that I have a claim # I'm scared my HMO wont pay for my test 8-9-01.

I didn't want to file a claim until I knew my diagnosis!Investigator also threatened that if I didn't use their approved Drs. I'll be harrassed by bill collectors and they wont pay my benefits. Cubital Tunnel could affect my career as well as my life. Im 29 and am in line for a promotion

to General Manager soon. I don't want to file a claim until I know what's wrong, don't trust their walk-in clinic, and don't want to make the wrong move. I want to see my doctor's first and go from there whether I should file if it is work-related. I don't think the ART form was used correctly as there was no accident(broken arm) on the job. I could however have a repetitive motion injury pending test results.
