Holding paycheck in Nebraska

Can an Employer hold my final paycheck from me for any reason. Are there only specific times this can be done

Check with your state. Pay is earned when it is earned and withholding paychecks is generally a no-no. If there is some offset, then it has to be a legal one, so contact a local employment rights attorney (or a legal help htline) and ask a quick question.

If you feel there is an issue, try talking it out with your employer's accounting department to find out what the holdup is, when your check will be delivered and then if the answer is not satisfactory, ask about filing a claim with the state agency handling employment wage issues.
