Legal Question in Personal Injury in Nebraska

Car Accident

Was involved in a rollover accident on a county (gravel) road. Hit loose gravel, lost control and flipped down an embankment, just missing a pond. I need to prove that the county was liable, as the road was not maintained properly, there were no guardrails or warning signs of loose gravel. I sustained a broken collarbone, injury to my neck and shoulder and will have to have surgery. How do I prove the county was negligent?

Re: Car Accident

Claims against government entities, like the County, are fraught with legal obstacles. Strict notification timeframes and procedures absolutely must be complied with. Failure to do so results in losing your case regardless of its merit.

In order to prove the negligence of the County for road maintenance and/or lack of compliance with highway road standards it is neccessary to do a complete investigation and have the results analyzed by a competent highway expert.

I hope this answers some of your questions. If you would care to discuss the details of your case we would be happy to do so without initial charge. Jim Harris
