Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

Credit card debt

There is a default judgment against me for a credit card debt. I was not living in the state at the time of service and was not served any papers. The collection agency will not return my calls. I can prove I was not served. How do I have this judgment done away with? If I need the assistance of an attorney, how do I find one since I am still not living in Nevada.

Re: Credit card debt

You need to have an attorney file a motion to set aside the default judgement in state court and then file a complaint in federal court alleging violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
