Probably, either you agreed to it when you filled out a bunch of paperwork when you first went to the doctor or they can make a written offer to settle and if they recover more than they offered, they can get attorney's fees. If you are getting telephone calls from creditors, you can hire a lawyer who will send a letter to get the calls stopped. I have done that for many of my clients who can't afford or do not want to file for Bankruptcy. |
