Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Do not know what legal paperwork is necessary

My best friend is now seriously ill and in the hospital. He is 60 years old and had been taking care of his 83 year old mother who has Alzheimer's. She cannot be left alone and my friends and I are trying to help out but he does not have any kind of Living will and it does not look good form him. There are no other family members here in Nv. and we do think that he must sign some kind of affadavit giving someone here perhaps power of attorney to put his mom in a facility as she can afford it but we don't know what kind of form is needed. Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Do not know what legal paperwork is necessary

I suggest contacting either an Elder law attorney or an Estate Planning attorney to get Durable Powers of Attorney in place.
