If you have a question regarding your rights, which question is not posed by you, you may want to resubmit the question with some more facts, like whether the loan was made by cash, check, etc., whether there were any witnesses before, during or after the making of the loan, what the precise promise to repay involved (was it contingent on winning the lottery, or getting a job or the Steelers winning the game, etc., and precisely when repayment was to be made; e.g. a week from now, Tuesday, next year, whenever) and where the borrower lives and whether he is in bankruptcy, because your rights may depend on many other facts and circumstances such as the examples listed.
