Legal Question in Employment Law in Nevada

Hello, I just ended my employment with a company in Las Vegas to move to San Diego. I had unused vacation time and I understood that that would be paid to me on my last paycheck as per our employee handbook. However it was not. I heard that in nevada they are only required to pay you for time worked but what if it is stated in our employee handbook? Doesn't that mean that they have to? I was kinda depending on that extra money as a rent deposit.

Thanks,

Rob
