I purchased a home with someone and both of our names are on the house even though we are not married but now we are breaking up. One person wants to sell but the other one does not what are the laws?

You may have to go to court for a partitian action, where the judge would decide the value and determine how long the person who doesn't want to sell has to buy out the other person. If after some time, typically two years, the house will be sold and the profits divided.

This is very common in a divorce and that is how it is done.
