Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

We have been renting this house for 3 years..paid rent on time every month. Last month a notice to the owner was posted on our door that the bank was foreclosing on the house and the owner hadn't paid the mortgage for a year...we did not pay march rent...we gave 1st and (last plus a damage deposit when moved in (house is in great codition)...the last two days the "Property Management co...who collects the rent has been calling for the rent for april..today they posted a 5 5 day notice to pay or quit on our front door...with no signatures...the bottom of the form calls for a "Notary" and a witness...does the Property Management have the right to put us out and charge an extra $50 per day until we pay or leave?...the Property Management has not told the truth about the status of the foreclosure by saying that the owner is trying to modify his loan after all this time and to our understanding you can not do this if you are an investor not the occupant.. please advise.

Your insight would be greatly appreciated as we have both just lost our jobs in the past week.

Thank you for your help and direction.

Best Regards,

Cynthia Wade

A new Federal law, called the "PROTECTING TENANTS AT FORECLOSURE ACT", may provide you with valuable legal rights and protections concerning your inquiry.

You can read about it here: http://ab149.blogspot.com/2010/01/title-vii-protecting-tenants-at.html

Your attorney can explain further.
