Legal Question in Workers Comp in Nevada

RSD insured?

I had knee surgery(laterial release)in August, 2001. Went through five months of physical therapy. Bone Scan in March showes RSD(Reflex Sympathetic Distrophy). If caught in the early stages, it can be cured. However, the workmans comp insurance adjuster advised me that RSD is not covered. Is this true, or do I have any recourse? From what I have been told about RSD, it can be a complication due to surgery.

Anything that is a consequence of your original injury is covered in workers comp as long as your doctor can say that the RSD is due to the original injury. Unfortunately RSD is a rare but not unusual consequence. You need an attorney at this stage.
