Start a Home Business

Hello. I want to explore starting a home based business. But I want to start a business so that I can close it down without too many hassles in case it does nto work out for me. What is the best way to do it? This business might involve me importing products from India from time to time.

Re: Start a Home Business

You may want to check out my course on Starting a Small Business at Camden County College. You can register using www.camdencc.edu/ce/. There is a course coming up in a few weeks. It's two nights, 2-1/2 hours each. My web site has the course description under the "Education" link. Fee is nominal.

You will also need to obtain an import license from the Department of Commerce. Their web site has the information to do that.

Re: Start a Home Business

The best way to start any business is to do it right in the first place. That means having a Limited Liability Company or Corporation. You should have a good tax and business lawyer set-up the LLC, help you set-up your tax and business accounts and provide the individual professional guidance you need. Education is always good, but you need real legal advice!

I hope this helps!
