Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Finder's Free = No Liability?

I have the opportunity to receive finder's fee's for finding products for a company. I do not take possession of anything nor do I sign any sales agreements. I just tell the company where they can buy the products. Would I be at personal risk if I do this as a sole proprietorship?

Re: Finder's Free = No Liability?

You might be. It depends on several factors, which you should review with an attorney. Remember that as a sole proprietor, you are your company and so you are not shielded in any way.
